I have a Mag Innovision LT500C LCD monitor that I'm trying to find a video card for or a means of adapting it to a card I have.
After three weeks of research, the best I can tell is the cable has a 26-pin MDR connector on the card end that also goes by the name "LDI" which I think uses the older "LVDS" standard. The monitor end of the cable has a 36-pin MDR connector which I've read is the "OpenLDI" version of LDI. So the monitor was "OpenLDI" and the card it came with was likely "LDI" and the cable is also an adaptor?
I thought the cable was a DFP connection so I bought an older DFP card only to find out that DFP is a 20-pin MDR connector and uses a different video standard. I'm told an adaptor won't work. I've also read that some monitors still use the LVDS/LDI standard so I'm thinking there should be some cards out there. I've also read that the LT500C monitor was targeted at the CAD market so I'm guessing someone bought them and should still have the cards around.
The reason I'm trying to get this thing working is that my budget is tight and my needs are simple. So an older LCD would suffice even if the video card only has 8MB RAM and doesn't do 3-D which I've read was the case with some of the early Mag Innovision monitors.
I've found little about this monitor on the web and nothing about it on the Mag Innovision site. An article mentioned that an earlier model, the LT500, may have come with a Triton Cyber 9385 video card but I can't find anything about this card either.
I'd love to get this monitor working any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
