View Full Version : Let's give some suggestion to make this site better!
1. change the text color or the background color... I can't read the text that well when it's on the pale background and it's killing my eyes!!!
Arrrrrrrrrrrrr...
2. how come the history(in reply section) go backward?

I know, I'm still working on it and trying to figure it all out. Any suggestions for colors are welcome, soon as I figure out how to and which is which, haha

I kind of have gotten used to having the history backward since many times your replying to the most recent comment.
Yeah, I guess this black text color is good, keep it, it's easy to read.
I guess the history going backward might be a good thing... just take time to get used to. Not a biggie. :)
I like this board, it already feels like home. :)

Colors are still changing but please make any suggestions for them or anything else. :)
I like the colors, except for the black text where it says Register, search, home, quote, etc. This place is nice! :D

If you click on the blank text it takes you to the Twilight Zone.

My visited thread links stay the same color as unvisited threads. Is there an option I missed in prefs so that visited links would show up another color?

Is there a way to mark a forum read?

the way you see if you have been to a thread before is look at the envelope.......... red means you've read it........ white means you haven't.

You should change the forum colors to flaming pink with blinking red texts!
To be honest, i would rather have a more steralized look. White background, with black text... and shades of grey, black, and blue for the other stuff (like graphics and stuff). I like the graphic up top left where it tells you which forum you're in... kinda like that (especially the fading of dark to light grey), but make the text windows more readable.
Blade, can you change something?
I can't read the part below our messages. You know, those profile/edit/email part. The black text is very hard to read when you are using a dark blue background.
Thx! :P

Profile, Mail..etc icons should go above the users post rather then below (sort of confusing).
agreed, moving profiles stuff to top is better, and perhaps use white text?

The things below our messages that have "edit/reply" "profile" etc.. are gifs that have the text already black so I can't change that. So new gifs will have to be made or I may just use plain text. But a little gif does look better. I will try to make one for heatware too if I can figure that out. I don't think there's a way to make them go at top, but that's just what some of us are use to. I'll look.
I did think about reversing the text, have the message text white and the links light blue. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a way to keep things the same and still make the text white, but I'm still learning this control panel so give me time, I'll figure it out.:)
What do u all think about reversing the text colors from the way they are now? Most so far seem to like it the way it is, but..

Everything else looks fine, IMO anyways.
I took the liberty of getting rid of the black text.
If they end up looking stretched, edit the file that contains the image information and change the height/width attributes or clear them, or maybe it's in the admin panel? If they look to crunched together (this could be part of the board's way of handling the icons) add this code between each image: & n b s p ;
Don't space the code. That code adds a blank character (a space). You can use any many as you want.

There's really no need for side text since all the icons have a tool tip (ie. Click Here To Message $UserName) when you put the mouse over the icon for a short period of time.
