either way I will be on board often.
I just realized most of the BBSs do have some ad, just I got used to it and don't notice anymore.
Guess I need a faster connection. :)

I'm guessing that this board is on bandwidth space, and that has to be paid for. So I have no problem keeping the board ads as long as it helps pay for the board.

Sure whatever it takes to support the board, as long as it isn't those crazy tomb raider ads from way back when that would crash my old pc. Those things were the pits and alot of the reasoning behind so many people using ad blockers.

I would even buy a membership to keep this baby going! (at a greatly reduced price as I am one of the first 100 founding members of this bbs) :)

I think an ad on top and an ad on bottom would be fine, it doesn't seem to slow down other sites that do that too badly. I mean, you should at least get a little bit 'o cash for doing this :)

As much as it'd be great not to have any ads that is unfortunately impossible. The host gave us this bbs because of the great and loyal members here, so there will be ads. Hope you all understand. :)

I don't mind a couple of ads, just as long as it's not like 5 or 6 per page. 1 or 2 is fine.

I'm on dial-up and even I don't notice it. What 1 second compared to 5 seconds to load? Hell no:) It takes me a whole 1 minute to read the threads anyhow, so what's da hurry.
I can't say the same for those on winmodems though....

I think the bandwidth hogging signatures cause more of a problem with download time than the ads....

as Long as they dont Jaz the site up by crashing it I could care less. :)

Coldfusion, I wouldn't mention the sigs. I did a mini rant on them at the old board, and apparenly I was in the minority hehe. My gripe was more at the large and ugly aspect :), than the bandwith aspect, so if you're lucky you won't be dragged into the town square and beaten...
/me glares at sbp while loading his rifle.... We don't have guns in Canada, but I can dream eh :tongue
Good grief! What is that big thing guste is taking out? No guys want to see that! http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Hub/8405/surprise.gif

A couple ads don't bother me. I find this place to be a lot faster than the old board anyway. Babe ads!! Now there's an idea...I'll gladly click on those :)
I don't mind ads at all... Especially since I use WebWasher. ;) I really only got WebWasher because of the Tomb Raider ads that were really annoying... Normal ads are fine. :)
